we as a human being is responsible or it all depends on our self to make it a happy place to live or to destroy it by our own hands ……………
so in order to protect our mother earth….
………….. The first Earth Day was celebrated in 1970, when a United States senator from Wisconsin organized a national demonstration to raise awareness about environmental issues. Rallies took place across the country and, by the end of the year, the U.S. government had created the Environmental Protection Agency.and By 1990, Earth Day was an event celebrated by more than 140 countries around the globe .
so on April 22, 1970, the first Earth Day saw the 10 per cent of entire United States population — back then around 20 million — taking to streets across cities and colleges to protest against the negligence of environment. The protesters also demanded a new way forward for the planet.
and even till now efforts are going on………
so This year is a special occasion as it marks the 50th Anniversary of Earth Day. and The theme of the day this year is ‘Climate Action .The enormous challenge — but also the vast opportunities — of action on climate change have distinguished the issue as the most pressing topic for the 50th anniversary.
on the occasion of earth day lets each one be thankful to our mother earth for giving us so much and in return we should take a pledge to protect it in all possible ways..
