A word, once spoken, carries weight,
A promise made decides a fate.
Each syllable, a thread so fine,
Binding hearts in sacred line.
Promises glow like morning’s dew,
Fragile yet powerful, pure and true.
They are the anchors in life’s storm,
A solemn vow, a trusted form.
To keep a word is to hold the light,
Through darkest hours, through endless night.
It speaks of honor, a heart that’s true,
A bridge of faith between me and you.
But words unkept, like whispers lost,
Leave scars behind at a heavy cost.
Trust is shattered, bonds will break,
A single lie is all it takes.
So speak with care, let truth prevail,
Let every promise withstand the gale.
For in this life, so fleeting and brief,
A kept word offers the greatest relief.
Guard your words, let actions follow,
Plant seeds of trust for a brighter tomorrow.
For promises kept will always show,
The depth of love we choose to sow.
