Mahashivratri: A Night of Divine Light
On this sacred night, so calm and deep,
The cosmos whispers, the mountains weep.
The Ganges flows with a gentle song,
Chanting “Har Har Mahadev” all night long.
The moon bows low in Shiva’s grace,
Stars shimmer bright in time and space.
The trident stands, fierce yet kind,
Destroyer of darkness, healer of mind.
Devotees gather with bells in hand,
Echoing prayers across the land.
Milk and honey, sacred and pure,
Poured on the Shivling, hearts secure.
In silent meditations, souls take flight,
Dissolving in Shiva’s endless light.
No past, no future, no worry, no chain,
Just blissful stillness, beyond all pain.
O Mahadev, in You we see,
The dance of time, the path to be free.
On this night, our spirits rise,
One with Shiva—eternal, wise.
Om Namah Shivaya!
