Things Are Difficult Before They Are Easy………!!!!!!!!

Ever felt like you’re staring up at a mountain when starting something new? Whether it’s learning a new language, picking up a musical instrument, or even just trying out a new recipe, it can feel daunting.

But guess what? This feeling is completely normal, and you’re not alone.

???? Think back to when you were a kid. Remember learning to ride a bike? At first, it probably seemed impossible. Balancing on two wheels while trying to pedal and steer felt like trying to do three things at once (because it was!). But after a few wobbles, maybe a fall or two, and lots of practice, something magical happened – it got easier. Soon, you were zooming around without even thinking about it.

This is the essence of the idea that β€œall things are difficult before they are easy.” The initial struggle is just part of the process. The key is to stick with it and keep practising and practising. !!!!!

Because ………………………… Everything new has a learning curve. It’s steep at first, but as you climb, it gradually levels out. Imagine trying to learn a dance routine. The first few steps might feel awkward, but as you repeat them, your body starts to remember, and soon, you’re moving smoothly. The second thing to keep in mind is that Skills take time to develop. When you start something new, you’re like a sculptor with a rough block of marble. Each practice session chips away at the rough edges until, over time, a beautiful statue emerges. For example, if you’re learning to cook, your first few meals might be a bit… experimental. But as you keep at it, you start to understand flavours, techniques, and timing, and before you know it, you’re impressing friends and family with your culinary creations.

Now …. Gaining Confidence is also a part of it………………………… which comes with familiarity. The more you do something, the more confident you become. This confidence then fuels further progress. Think about public speaking. The first time might be nerve-wracking, but as you do it more, you become more comfortable and start to enjoy it.

But along with confidence repetition of anything also helps a lot as it creates memory. So whether it’s typing, playing a sport, or even knitting, the more you do it, the more your body remembers how to do it without you having to think too hard. This is why athletes and performers practice so much – to make their actions second nature.

So, next time when you’re struggling with something new, remember this: it’s supposed to be hard at first. Embrace the challenge and give yourself permission to make mistakes. Each mistake is a step closer to getting better. And before you know it, what once seemed difficult will start to feel easy. But …………………. In the end, it’s all about patience and persistence. Just keep going, and you’ll get there. Remember, even the experts were once beginners who had no idea what they were doing. They just didn’t give up.

Thus …………… Tackling new challenges can be tough, but with time and practice, what seems difficult now will soon become easy. So, keep pushing forward, and don’t be afraid to stumble along the way.!!!!!!!!!

I have an issue with patience myself, it’s still an issue as I work to learn new photography apps. It was an issue for me growing up, I would stop a sport right away if I was not good at it. I would guess that comes from my background of child abuse and how brutal bullies were growing up. I have patience for others but not with myself. There must be an unresolved issue in there. I’ll have to ask my therapist next week. Good post.
