Ganesh Chaturthi is celebrated to honor the birth of Lord Ganesha, the elephant-headed god who is widely revered as the remover of obstacles and the god of wisdom, prosperity, and new beginnings. This festival marks his arrival on Earth from Mount Kailash, accompanied by his mother, Goddess Parvati.

Hindus believe that by worshipping Ganesha during this time, he blesses them with success, removes difficulties, and brings good fortune. The festival typically involves the installation of Ganesha idols in homes or public places, followed by prayers, offerings, and various rituals over a period of 10 days. On the final day, the idol is immersed in water, symbolizing the cycle of birth, life, and dissolution.

The celebration of Ganesh Chaturthi brings people together in devotion, joy, and a spirit of renewal, as they seek Ganesha’s blessings for a prosperous and obstacle-free life.
