The month is slipping, day by day,
Like sand through fingers, blown away.
Moments we held, now memories faint,
A canvas once vibrant, now softer paint.
The calendar turns, the pages fall,
Echoes of laughter, I hear them all.
Tasks completed, some left behind,
A race with time, we’re all entwined.
The skies grow colder, the nights grow deep,
Dreams we nurtured, now softly sleep.
What did we lose? What did we gain?
Did the effort soothe, or was it in vain?
The month is ending, but fear not the close,
For each door that shuts, another one shows.
A cycle eternal, a chance anew,
To chase the hopes we couldn’t pursue.
So bid farewell to December’s tide,
With lessons learned, let gratitude reside.
The month is fleeting, but we’ll transcend,
For with every ending, new dreams ascend.
