Beneath the Bedrock

Beneath the bedrock, deep and old,Where time sleeps quiet, stories unfold.A world unseen, yet carved in stone,Whispers secrets never known. Rivers hidden in the dark,Flow like echoes, cold and stark.Fossils rest in silent keep,Dreaming where the lost ones sleep. Gold and ember, bones and dust,Layers thick with ancient trust.Roots entwine in shadowed veins,Holding all that…

Beneath the bedrock, deep and old,
Where time sleeps quiet, stories unfold.
A world unseen, yet carved in stone,
Whispers secrets never known.

Rivers hidden in the dark,
Flow like echoes, cold and stark.
Fossils rest in silent keep,
Dreaming where the lost ones sleep.

Gold and ember, bones and dust,
Layers thick with ancient trust.
Roots entwine in shadowed veins,
Holding all that once remained.

Beneath the bedrock, still and deep,
The earth remembers, though we weep.
Time moves slow where none may tread,
A world alive, yet long since dead.

Fascinating imagery in this poem! Makes me think of the kind of “ancient poems” Tolkien and Lewis would write.😉
