Mercy to Lord

Oh Lord, You stand in endless grace,A guiding light, a warm embrace.Yet, do You ever wish to see,A world that spares some mercy—Thee? We cry for love, we beg for aid,But heedless walk where harm is laid.We take, we plead, but seldom give,Forgetting mercy while we live. Do heavens weep when hearts turn cold?Do prayers…

Oh Lord, You stand in endless grace,
A guiding light, a warm embrace.
Yet, do You ever wish to see,
A world that spares some mercy—Thee?

We cry for love, we beg for aid,
But heedless walk where harm is laid.
We take, we plead, but seldom give,
Forgetting mercy while we live.

Do heavens weep when hearts turn cold?
Do prayers fade when greed takes hold?
If You have mercy vast and wide,
Why must it be so one-sided?

Perhaps it is not You who needs,
But we, in chains of selfish deeds.
To give You mercy, light, and love,
Is to lift our hands, not just above—

But here, on earth, where kindness grows,
In humble acts that mercy shows.
For what You seek is not our gold,
But love for all—both young and old.

A kindness given, though seeming small.
For in each heart where love is stored,
There rests the mercy to our Lord.

“If someone says he loves God but hates his brother he is a liar. For he who does not love his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen? And this commandment we have from Him, that he who loves God must love his brother also.”
