Alma Mater Within Life

She is not just bricks and bells,But the breath between my steps—A soft echo in the chambersWhere memory quietly wept. She stitched the sky above my youthWith threads of books and dreams,Taught my silence how to speak,And truth to burst its seams. In bustling streets, in quiet dawns,Her voice still calls me near,In choices made,…

She is not just bricks and bells,
But the breath between my steps—
A soft echo in the chambers
Where memory quietly wept.

She stitched the sky above my youth
With threads of books and dreams,
Taught my silence how to speak,
And truth to burst its seams.

In bustling streets, in quiet dawns,
Her voice still calls me near,
In choices made, in risks I take,
Her wisdom reappears.

Not just a campus left behind,
But soil beneath my soul—
The roots that shaped my wandering feet
And whispered every goal.

She walks with me in shadowed doubt,
In triumphs loud and bright,
My alma mater, not a place—
But a flame I carry in life.

Manisha, this is breathtaking. Your poem pulses with reverence and emotion—a lyrical tribute that transforms a place into a living presence. The imagery is so rich: “threads of books and dreams,” “the breath between my steps,” “a flame I carry in life.” It speaks to how deeply we can be shaped by where we’ve grown. Truly stunning. 🌿❤️🌹
